Some 25 lots will be offered at MS Auctions’ sale on 30 April. Notable lots include a retail investment in Forest Gate, E7, guided at (generating £6,000 pa), and a freehold investment, 182 Wandsworth Road, SW8, (which generates £15,000 pa) and is guided at £250,000. The auction will take place at the Radisson Blu Portman hotel, W1.
Pub draws buyers at Eddisons
The freehold of a former pub sold for £290,000 at Eddisons London’s most recent auction on 8 April. The property, in Chelmsford, Essex, was offered on behalf of LPA receivers and has scope for development into a house, subject to planning. It was one of 11 lots offered at the sale, which raised £808,000 and posted a 37% success rate. It took place at Le Meridien Piccadilly Hotel, W1.
William H Brown raises £2.1m
Norwich-based auction house William H Brown raised £2.1m at its recent sale on 10 April. Some 20 out of 28 lots sold, reflecting a 72% success rate. The sale took place at Barnham Broom Hotel & Country Club, Norwich.
Former nightclub up for grabs
Pugh Auctions will offer 141 lots at its 21 and 23 April auctions at Etihad Stadium in Manchester. Top lots include a former nightclub in Wigan, Lancashire, which comprises 11,162 sq ft over three floors. It is being guided at £250,000.
Lansdowne plans second sale
Lansdowne Property Auctions’ second auction will be offering 19 lots at its sale at the Connaught Hotel, W1, on 30 April. Notable lots include the freehold of a 1,400 sq ft commercial property at 34 Broadway, Grays, Essex, comprising nine letting rooms and a studio flat producing £34,000 per annum. It will be guided at £275,000. Lansdowne sold £1.9m at its first-ever auction on 5 March and posted a 75% success rate.
