Estate agents Christies and Power Bespoke have joined forces with Network Auctions to offer regular auction sales.

The Christies Network Auctions and Power Bespoke Auctions will hold six sales in 2015, the first of which will take place on 3 March at the Grosvenor House hotel, W1.


Townsend goes to Harrow

Commercial property auctioneer John Townsend is joining Harrow-based law firm Harold Benjamin to head the firm’s new auction advisory service.

Townsend will act as a consultant, providing a bespoke service to both clients and investors considering buying commercial property at auction.

Townsend said: “For the past 31 years I have seen auctions grow from modest beginnings to what is now a multi-million pound business.”

Eddisons posts strong 2014

Regional auctioneer Eddisons raised a total of £58m last year through 19 sales in Leeds, Manchester and London.

It recorded an average success rate of 75%.

Auctioneer Simon Bailey said: “Given the uncertain economic backdrop over the past 12 months, these figures are very impressive.”


March date for MS Auctions

MS Auctions’ next sale will take place on 2 March at the Radisson Blu Portman Hotel London, W1, offering 36 lots in total.

A leasehold residential investment on Earls Court Road, Kensington, W8, will go under the hammer at a guide price of £600,000.


SVA offers Stranraer bank

Scottish auction house SVA Property Auctions will put 32 properties under the hammer at its first sale of the year on 25 February at Edinburgh’s Marriott hotel.

Notable lots include a former bank in Glenluce, Wigtownshire, which is guided at £100,000.
