McHugh & Co raised £9.7m at its most recent auction, selling 32 of 45 lots offered – a 72% success rate. A three-storey house, arranged as seven flats and producing an annual income of £64,999, sold for £1.3m – a 5% yield. The auction took place on 29 April at The Montcalm hotel, W1.

Dedman Gray offers resi lots

The Dedman Gray auction on 20 May will offer 42 mainly residential properties in Essex. The star lot is a refurbished six-bedroom home in Brocking that will go under the hammer with a £780,000 guide price. The sale takes place at the Holiday Inn, Southend Airport.

Big lot lifts Network Auctions

Network Auctions achieved a 52% success rate at its last auction, selling 20 out of 36 lots offered and raising a total of £4.2m. A freehold mixed-use retail and residential investment in Hertfordshire, comprising two shops and two flats with planning permission for an extension, which generates £71,800 pa, sold for £1.2m – a 5.6% yield. The auction took place on 7 May at the Grosvenor House, W1.

Tamlyn & Son hits 95% success

Somerset-based Tamlyn & Son sold 17 out of 18 lots on offer – a 95% success rate – at its latest sale on 30 April. A top performing lot was 18 acres of land in Somerset that sold for £85,000. The auction took place at Oak Tree Arena, Highbridge.

Former care home performs

A former residential care home was the top lot at Graham Penny’s sale on 8 May. The eight-bedroom property in Borrowash, Derby, sold for £250,000. It offers potential for conversion into flats, or two homes, subject to planning. It was one of 29 lots to sell of 52 offered, reflecting a 56% success rate. The sale, which raised £2.7m in total, took place at Nottingham Racecourse.
