Barnard Marcus raises £22.2m
Barnard Marcus sold 126 out of 188 lots, a 68% success rate, at its 17 May sale at Grand Connaught Rooms, WC2, raising £22.2m. Its May 2015 auction raised £27.1m from 168 lots, an 81% success rate.
Dorset ice cream kiosk offered
An ice cream kiosk in West Bay, Dorset, near the beach that featured in the TV series Broadchurch, is being offered by Clive Emson West Country with a guide price of £55,000 to £65,000. The sale takes place on 17 June at St Mellion International Resort, Cornwall.
Prior lots fuel AHS sale
Auction House Scotland achieved a 75% success rate at its 18 May auction at 200 SVS, Glasgow. Receipts from the 54 lots offered were £2.7m; 19 lots were sold prior, more than the 17 sold in the room.
Savills’ Notts sale raises £1.3m
Savills’ Nottingham auction raised £1.3m from 44 lots, reflected in a 78% success rate. Out of 34 lots sold, 14 were sold prior and 19 in the room. The sale took place at Nottingham Racecourse on 19 May.
