Auction House Bristol & Somerset North secured a 100% success rate at its sale on 20 November.

The firm raised £854,000, with a development opportunity on Redland Road, Bristol, selling for £188,000.

The auction took place at Gloucestershire County Cricket Club in Bristol.


McHugh ends 2014 at BAFTA

A total of 75 lots will be on offer at the final McHugh & Co auction of the year on 3 December.

Notable lots include a freehold terraced house at 4 Bromfield Street, Islington, N1, which generates £51,544 pa and has a guide price of £875,000.

The auction will take place at BAFTA on Piccadilly, W1.


Strettons shifts parking space

The long leasehold of a  parking space in Illford, Essex, guided at £6,000 will be one of 46 lots to go under the hammer at Strettons’ final auction of 2014.

The sale will take place on 9 December at the Grand Connaught Rooms, WC2.


Meller Braggins hits heights

North West auction house Meller Braggins raised £1.2m – its biggest total this year – on 20 November.

It sold six of eight lots offered – a 75% success rate – at the auction at Cottons Hotel in Knutsford, Cheshire.

Highlights included a 0.95-acre plot of development land at Nether Alderley in Macclesfield, which sold for £375,000.


Graham Penny averages 78%

Graham Penny Auctions Nottingham will market 36 lots at its final auction of the year.

So far this year, the firm has raised a total of £56.6m, with an average success rate of 78%.

The auction will take place on 5 December at Nottingham Racecourse.

Guide prices range from £35,000 to over £600,000.
