Cheffins offers Biggleswade lot

A freehold, mixed-use property in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire, with a guide price of £900,000 will go under the hammer at Cheffins’ auction on 15 March. The property includes two shops and planning permission for three flats and generates £50,000 pa from tenants including Subway and Specsavers. The sale will take place at Clifton House in Cambridge.

Resi opportunity available

A bungalow with permission for a three-floor block of six two-bedroom flats is still available after going unsold at Phillip Arnold’s sale at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel, W5, on 24 February. The property, located in Ashford, Middlesex, has a guide price of £825,000.

Savills lot attracts newcomers

First-time buyers bought a three-bedroom house in Mansfield for £77,750 against a guide price of £55,000 to £60,000 at Savills’ first regional auction of the year at Nottingham Racecourse on 16 February. The sale raised £1.7m with a success rate of more than 80%.

Scout hut graces Emson sale

The site of a former scout hut in Tonbridge, Kent, with planning approval for a detached house and a guide of £195,000 to £205,000, is among the lots at the first of Clive Emson’s five auctions this month. The sales take place on five consecutive days beginning on 20 March in Maidstone and continue at Chelmsford, Brighton, Southampton and Saltash in Cornwall.
