Resting places up for sale
Nine burial plots are going under the hammer at the next Network Auctions sale on 10 September at the Grosvenor House hotel, W1. The plots are guided at £6,150-plus each and will be available in Bluebell Cemetery in Badgers Mount, Kent, which is being developed as a burial park.
Glasgow sale makes £2.4m
Auction House Scotland posted a 72% success rate at its latest auction in Glasgow on 20 August, raising £2.4m. Of the 50 lots offered, 19 sold prior and 16 went in the room.
Lancs Tory club meets its end
The former Conservative Club in Whitworth, Lancashire, is being offered at Pugh & Company’s 10 September sale at the Etihad Stadium, Manchester. The 9,038 sq ft building is vacant. Mystery still surrounds the death of a man whose leg and other remains were found on land behind the building last September.
West Drayton phase two sold
Allsop has now sold all of the remaining flats offered at the first online auction of new-build homes, held in June. The 36 flats were offered in the second phase of the West Drayton Waterside development in Middlesex. One in four units exchanged on the day, and the remaining 60% were sold over the following 10 weeks.
Midlands sale raises £2.3m
The most recent sale held by I-Am-Sold Midlands Property Auction raised £2.3m from the 23 conditional lots on offer, with a 70% success rate. One of the 16 sold lots had exchanged at the time of writing – a semi-detached four-bedroom house, which went for £78,000. No unconditional lots were offered.
