Audley makes trio of senior appointments

Retirement housing provider Audley has added three senior positions to its leadership team.

The developer has hired Mark Sadler from Intu Properties as group general counsel. Sadler was previously senior legal counsel at Intu for almost nine years, advising on M&A, joint ventures and financing.

Audley has also recruited Daren Little as IT director, responsible for the tech strategy. He previously worked at global distribution company ScanSource. Sadler and Little will both report to Audley chief financial officer Gary Burton.

Sian Hammer joins as group sales director. She will lead sales across Audley and Mayfield Villages and report to managing director Paul Morgan. Hammer has previously had roles in senior living sales at Sherpa CRM, Berkeley Homes Health and Sunrise Senior Living.

Chief executive Nick Sanderson said: “Our strategy is driven by a keen focus on the long-term health and wellbeing of our customers and as we look for future partners to share in this vision, Mark and Daren’s expertise will be invaluable. Sian’s deep knowledge of our sector will be instrumental in driving sales growth across our Audley Villages and Mayfield Villages brands.”

The hiring spree follows a £500m joint venture agreement with BlackRock Real Assets last month. BlackRock has invested £100m and taken a 75% stake in the jv which aims to develop 1,000 homes.

Audley Group has a portfolio of 20 villages, including luxury and mid-priced homes.
