Phones4U founder John Caudwell says he is “very close” to securing consent to convert Audley Square car park, in Mayfair.
His plan is to turn the London site into luxury flats for the super-rich. He bought the car park for £150m in 2011. Caudwell has invested more than £100m in commercial property since the 2008 crash.
