Aussies hope Mud sticks following London debut

MUD PORCELAINAustralian porcelain retailer Mud is opening its debut UK store at 11 Porchester Place, W2.

The ceramic vendor will take a 10-year lease for 770 sq ft at the retail and leisure hub, which is part of the Church Commissioners’ Connaught Village development.

A deal at around £100 per sq ft zone A has been agreed.

Mud was founded in 1994, and sells handmade items from its Sydney factory, designed by Shelley Simpson.

The retailer plans to open the store before the spring, with fit-out of the building now under way.

Colliers International acted for the Church Commissioners; 56Street advised Mud.
