The Australian government has approved the sale of the Kidman estate to Australian Outback Beef, which is majority owned by billionaire investor Gina Rinehart’s Hancock Prospecting. Shanghai CRED Real Estate holds a 33% stake.
The Kidman cattle station covers 1.3% of the country’s total land mass.
Australian Outback Beef’s bid totalled A$386.5m.
