Australian new homes sales rose 0.5% on the month in June, rebounding from the prior month’s fall, data from the Home Industry Association showed.
Meanwhile, house prices were up 2.8% in July, figures from CoreLogic RP Data showed. The increase was the largest since data was first collected in 1996.
The Melbourne and Sydney markets outperformed, with prices rising 4.9% and 3.3%, respectively.
