Auto Trader revs up presence at First Street

Auto Trader has agreed to take up 80,000 sq ft at the next phase of Ask Real Estate’s First Street scheme, expanding its presence in Manchester by 20,000 sq ft.

The automotive marketplace will occupy the top three floors at the next proposed office development, No 9 First Street, and will relocate from its current offices at No 1 First Street where it currently occupies 60,000 sq ft.

It is understood that the company is looking for a bigger space to accommodate the growth of the business.

Auto Trader took up space at No 1 First Street back in 2014, when it signed a 15-year lease across two and a half floors at the 180,000 sq ft office building. The move was made in order to consolidate its 600-strong north west team, which was spread over seven sites at the time, to one location.

Ask Real Estate and Auto Trader declined to comment.
