Avant Homes has expanded into the West Midlands with the acquisition of a 20.9-acre site in Priorslee, Telford for £85m.
Phase one of the Monkswood development will comprise 184 two, three, four and five-bedroom homes with prices starting from £250,000.
Avant Homes plans to apply to build a further 136 homes representing phase two of the development next December.
Monkswood is part of Avant Homes’ plans to expand its operations throughout Staffordshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire and Shropshire.
The housebuilder also has schemes in Stirling, Sunderland, Wakefield, Chesterfield and Nottingham.
Group operating officer Scott Varley said: “Our Priorslee site acquisition has given us flying start in the West Midlands. We are very excited by the opportunities available to us in the region and expect to be able to announce more acquisitions soon.
“Expanding within the West Midlands is a key element of Avant Homes’ nationwide strategic growth plan. To enable that, we are currently recruiting at all levels in the region for sales, construction, land, technical and commercial roles.”
