Dublin-based fund manager Avestus Capital Partners has denied strong market rumours that it is selling its Diagonal Mar shopping centre in Barcelona.
The 87,000 m2 asset is the only mall owned by the company in Spain.
Avestus’ principal Fergus Farrell said that the company has received several expressions of interest for the asset but is not considering any of them at the moment. “Two or three years out there may be a disposal,” he told EuroProperty. “But we have had no discussions with agents so far.”
Multi links up with SOGAM
Private Dutch shopping centre developer Multi has formed a partnership arrangement with SOGAM, the development arm of SICRA, the largest company in the French group Vinci Construction, to develop in the Paris region.
Multi’s role under the joint venture protocol will be to assist with concept development and to be responsible for the retail aspects of multi-use projects while SOGAM will undertake the office and housing components.
In a statement, SOGAM said Multi’s experience in design and development were key points of interest, along with its track record across Europe and Turkey.
