Avison Young appoints 15 female principals after GVA deal

Avison Young has appointed 109 new principals following its purchase of GVA in the UK. They include 15 women, meaning the female cohort represents 14% of the total group.

The new partners, all based in the UK, Republic of Ireland and Poland, include senior directors from GVA and other employees from GVA. They have received Avison Young shares along with the right to vote and set the strategy for the firm.

The female appointments include Jo Davis (pictured), managing director of planning, development and regeneration; Julia Penfold, managing director of the corporate services team; Claire Paraskeva, managing director of Leeds; Alison Taylor, managing director of Glasgow; and Ros Goode, managing director of London.

Avison Young now has more than 600 principals globally.
