Avison Young has promoted Rick Jenkins to chief financial officer, overseeing the firm’s financial operations and strategy.
Jenkins is credited with helping to steer the firm through its recent financial recapitalisation.
He first joined the firm in 2016 as global controller, responsible for directing financial reporting and processes, developing tax strategies, overseeing due diligence and integration of merger and acquisition targets, and identifying and developing talent across the finance team.
In his new role, Jenkins will lead the overall management and strategies in the areas of finance, accounting, budgeting and reporting, bank relations, risk management, joint ventures, and tax.
He will also be responsible for the financial aspects of acquisitions, divestitures, and other related transactions.
As a member of the executive management team, Jenkins will participate in developing and executing the firm’s long-term growth strategies.
Jenkins has more than 20 years of diverse accounting, finance, and consulting experience, including past experience as senior vice president, Americas region, finance director at JLL.
