Avison Young wins Old Oak brief

Avison Young has won a competitive tender to provide property management services to the Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation.

The contract runs for three years and will see the agent provide property management services across the Old Oak opportunity area. The area spans land across three London boroughs – Ealing, Brent and Hammersmith & Fulham – where there are plans to  deliver 25,000 new homes and 56,000 new jobs.

Avison Young’s role will also include advising on statutory obligations, maximising rental income and exploring options for meanwhile use.

Gemma Houghton, senior surveyor at Avison Young UK, said: “This appointment underscores our market reputation in public sector development and regeneration opportunities, bringing extensive experience in managing portfolios of a similar scale and achieving successful outcomes for our clients.

“Our team has expertise in managing assets and land redevelopment as part of wider regeneration and is able to draw from multiple service lines across the business, helping to fulfil OPDC’s vision of making a major contribution to London’s success as a global city.”

OPDC’s executive director of delivery, Gareth Blacker, added: “Avison Young’s appointment is a great step forward for OPDC achieving its strategic vision for Old Oak and Park Royal, working towards the comprehensive delivery of new homes and jobs.

“Drawing on their experience of effectively managing similar assets for other public sector clients, OPDC is looking forward to working closely with Avison Young to successfully deliver our asset and estate management plan.”
