Aviva Investors has appointed former New Look executive Sue Jarvis in the newly created role of retail asset management director.
Jarvis spent eight years working for New Look, latterly as group property director for a year until May. She initially joined the company as interim head of portfolio in 2010 before becoming head of group property portfolio in 2012.
She has also held a retail property consultant role at Mothercare and, before that, an interim property manager role at Dixons Retail.
Her previous employers also include Debenhams, Burton Group and Next.
Jarvis is based in London and reports to Tony Christie, head of retail asset management at Aviva. She will work on leasing redesign and managing customer relationships with occupiers. She will also have responsibility for a portfolio of retail assets across the UK.
The retail asset management team sits within the direct real estate function of Aviva Investors Real Assets (AIRA), a platform established in May 2018 to bring together direct real estate, infrastructure, structured finance and private debt under a single leadership and operating structure.
Aviva has £37bn of assets under management.
