Aviva Investors has announced Ed Dixon will fill a newly created role as head of environment, social and government real assets.
Dixon joins the company today, and will be responsible for the ESG programme for the investor’s £45bn real assets platform.
Dixon was previously sustainability insights director at Landsec since 2016, where he was responsible for the company’s approach to sustainable design, climate risk and supply chain transparency.
Prior to this, he was sustainability senior manager at Mace from 2013-2016 after spending one year at Marks & Spencer as sustainability project manager.
Melanie Collett, head of asset management, real estate, said: “I’m delighted we have been able to attract someone with Ed’s track record and expertise to the team.
“He brings a wealth of ESG experience from development, consulting and contracting companies throughout the real estate sector, and will further enhance our capabilities in an area that is of growing importance to our investors and occupiers.”
