Aviva Investors has appointed Tim Russell as senior fund manager in its real estate division.
Russell joins from Global Gate Capital, where he was director of UK real estate.
Russell, who has more than 20 years’ experience in the industry, will oversee the asset manager’s unit-linked property funds. He will report to Imogen Ebbs, the head of UK funds, real estate.
During his time at Global Gate, Russell covered all areas of fund and asset management; from origination, structuring and financing to developing and managing.
Prior to Global Gate Capital, he spent eight years at Legal & General Investment Management, working across fund and asset management of UK commercial real estate.
The news comes as the investor announced a series of hew hires across the real estate business, including the recent appointments of Edmond de Fels, Lise Marbach Deguine and Theophile Perrin to its Paris-based team.
