AXA Real Estate has bought 4-10 Avery Row, W1, on behalf of its client, Co-Operative Insurance Society.
The purchase of the two long leaseholds for £4.4m from Merrion Properties, comprises five shops totalling 3,800 sq ft and flats above.
Co-Operative already owns a number of buildings around nearby Lancashire Court.
Anne Kavanagh, global head of asset management at AXA, said: “Opportunities to acquire prime retail premises in Mayfair are rare, so we are a pleased to have acquired this attractively sized lot.”
