AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM) has appointed Pierre Vaquier as chief executive officer of AXA Real Estate Investment Managers (AXA REIM).
Vaquier replaces Paul Marcuse who resigned from AXA REIM in January to join UBS Global Asset Management.
The Group says Vaquier, previously deputy managing director of AXA REIM and CEO of AXA REIM France, will be responsible for the “overall success” of AXA REIM, international expansion and diversifying the product offering.
He will remain CEO of AXA REIM France.
Previous chairman and CEO of AXA REIM Dominique Carrel-Billiard will remain as chairman of AXA REIM Board of Directors and continue as CEO of AXA IM, parent company of AXA REIM.
Vaquier joined the AXA Group in 1993 as a director of business development for AXA Immobilier.
In 1995 he became chairman and CEO at Colisées Services, an AXA Group asset management business.
In 1999 he became chairman and CEO of AXA REIM France and deputy managing director at AXA REIM.
