Insurance giant AXA has pulled out of a 70,000 sq ft prelet in Bristol city centre.
The group had agreed to take the space in Salmon Harvester Properties’ £40m Two Glass Wharf office scheme in Bristol.
The deal would have been the largest prelet in the South West since 2006, when law firm Burges Salmon took 170,000 sq ft at One Bank Place.
Rorie Henderson, development director at Salmon Harvester, said: “We can confirm that AXA has withdrawn from the proposed leasing of Two Glass Wharf, Temple Quay, Bristol. However, this does not in any way dampen our enthusiasm for this exciting project.”
Lambert Smith Hampton was advising AXA; Alder King and LSH are letting agents.
