AXA Investment Managers – Real Assets’ Anne Kavanagh is leaving the company to become chief investment officer and a member of the management board at Patrizia.
At AXA, Kavanagh was instrumental in bringing forward development plans for 22 Bishopsgate, EC2, the stalled former Pinnacle project, with investment from British Colombia Investment Management Corporation, PSP, Temasek and two AXA funds.
Nathalie Charles, pan-European head of development and head of Southern Europe; Laurent Jacquemin, head of European transactions; and Andrew Stainer, head of northern Europe, will assume Kavanagh’s responsibilities at AXA from the end of February on an interim basis.
Kavanagh is due to start her new role at Patrizia on 17 April. The company said it would reinforce its strategy to expand its international presence.
It now has €18bn (£15.3bn) of assets under management globally.
She said: “In recent years, Patrizia has transformed from a German into a truly European investment management platform.
“This is a strong basis for further growth in all real estate asset classes and risk profiles across Europe.”
