Axe-throwing punks target central London flagship

Urban axe-throwing leisure operator Whistle Punks is seeking a flagship venue in central London.

The business has appointed Savills to advise on its search. It is seeking sites of 3,500 sq ft to 6,000 sq ft in Zone 1 or 2, with a minimum ceiling height of 13 ft.

It also requires planning consent for D2 – leisure – or potential for change of use as well as strong transport links.

The concept involves visitors targeting bullseyes as part of a group tournament, guided by throwing coaches and socialising between rounds.

The brand operates three sites in Vauxhall, SW8, Birmingham and Manchester.

Carlene Hughes, associate director in the leisure team at Savills, comments: “Urban axe throwing is the newest competitive socialising trend to come to the UK, following huge success in the US and Canada, with Whistle Punks at the forefront.”
