Avison Young has appointed David Martin as interim regional managing director for its Birmingham office.
Martin will take over from Carl Potter, who has been in the role since 2018.
In his new role, Martin will be charged with driving revenue growth at a regional level, leveraging partnerships with key clients and stakeholders.
Martin spent 18 years as a principal in Avison Young’s building and project consultancy division, leading a multi-disciplinary team and working across projects for both public and private sector clients. His career also includes 12 years as a partner with King Sturge.
Avison Young’s Birmingham office serves the wider West Midlands and East Midlands regions, with key projects currently spanning across Paradise Birmingham, Arden Cross, and the regeneration of both Derby city centre and the Ladywood district of Birmingham.
Stephen Cowperthwaite, managing director of UK regions at Avison Young, said: “Regional investment is a part of our wider UK growth strategy – shaping Avison Young into an advisory business that helps to create economic, social, and environmental impact and value – and David will play an important role in supporting that vision.”
