The 600-bedroom hotel (pictured) to be built by BAA Lynton at Heathrow’s terminal 5 needs an operator.
BAA’s commercial property arm received outline consent for the scheme from Hillingdon council in January 2003, and the design by the Manser Practice was unveiled this week.
The development is the only hotel to be built as part of the new terminal, which was approved in November 2001 after a four-year planning inquiry.
Expected to open with the new terminal in 2008, the hotel will include conference and leisure facilities and parking for 250 vehicles.
