BAA plans to create a mini office and retail town on the 20.24ha (50 acre) former British Airways maintenance base south east of the airport at Hatton Cross, London costing £125m
Gordon Eddington, BAA group property director, said that BAA would spend the next four months drawing up plans for the site.
BAA is doubling property investment to £200m over the next three years with further developments planned at Gatwick and Stansted.
