BAE Systems has sold the 12,100 sq m (130,247 sq ft) former Marconi torpedo factory at Neston, South Wirral, for £2m.
The specialist facility, which sits on a 36-acre (14.5ha) site, had been on the market for more than two years. It is understood that the buyer, a private property speculator, is planning to subdivide and let the property.
Simon Hampson, director with sales agent Lambert Smith Hampton, said: “That a specialist property like this in Neston has now been let tells us a lot about the strength of the North West industrial market.”
