Bain Capital and CIT Group have signed Arrow Shipping as a new tenant at their Sixty Sloane office block in London’s Chelsea.
The shipbroking group has taken the entire 22,641 sq ft third floor at 60 Sloane Avenue, SW3. It was previously based at Berkeley’s Octavia House, SW6.
As well as 90,000 sq ft of office space, Sixty Sloane has four shops on the ground floor and basement levels, totalling just over 36,000 sq ft.
Richard Boyle, vice president at Bain Capital, said: “We are delighted to partner with Arrow Shipping to bring their new headquarters to Sixty Sloane, which is a testament to the building’s desirability and highlights the crucial role that best-in-class offices play in creating the right space for talent and businesses to thrive.”
The joint venture bought the building, a former Harrods store, for £186m in 2022 from the Vatican. It had been put up for sale following an alleged financial scandal around its earlier purchase.
CBRE and Savills advised Bain Capital and CIT Group. CBRE also acted for the tenant.
