Troubled construction company Balfour Beatty is facing renewed pressure from a fund which is attempting to break up its business.
Yesterday it rejected a £1bn bid from John Laing Infrastructure Fund for its investment portfolio, which includes the M25 motorway the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham and a student housing scheme in Aberystwyth.
JLIF has told investors that it will not back off. It first approached Balfour Beatty in May.
