Recycling firm Ballast Phoenix has become the first tenant at Loxley Land and Property’s 45-acre recycling village in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.
The company, which specialises in recycling incinerator bottom ash, last month received planning permission for its seventh UK facility on the site and has signed a 28-year lease on a 3.5-acre plot for an undisclosed fee.
Loxley Land and Property, a subsidiary of world-wide decommissioning company Euro Decommissioning Solutions, bought the Beeley Wood site two years ago.
It hopes to create a recycling village for a variety of organisations with varying requirements for bespoke facilities.
