Barclays has less exposure to UK mortgages and commercial real estate than rivals that are joining the UK government’s insurance scheme for bank assets, reports the Financial Times.
The bank faces a tough decision on whether or not to join the scheme which might not make sense for Barclays unless the authorities are willing to make substantial changes.
