Barclays is subletting 540,000 sq ft of office space in London’s Canary Wharf to the government on a 15-year lease.
The deal will save the bank around £35m a year, while the government will also make savings on its rent costs.
Barclays staff located at 10 South Colonnade are being moved to its HQ at 1 Churchill Place or the nearby investment bank office. Government staff will move into their new premises by the end of 2018.
