Barclays to extend Coventry’s Sapphire Court to 66,000 sq ft in advance of letting

Barclay Property Holdings is to extend Sapphire Court in Coventry to 6,170 sq m (66,423 sq ft) in advance of a deal with German pharmacutical giant AAH which wants the building as its UK headquarters.

AAH is close to signing a 15 year lease for the development at Walsgrave Triangle to the East of the city centre for a rent believed to be around £139.93 per sq m (£13 per sq ft).

Barclays has submitted a planning application to build extra office accommodation and car parking on the site linking the two existing buildings at Sapphire Court.

The 6,050 sq m (65,123 sq ft) of existing accommodation at Sapphire Court already features 360 car parking spaces.

AAH is unrepresented. Richard Ellis and D&P Holt are joint-letting agents on Sapphire Court.
