Barclays has promised to keep Woolwichs Bexleyheath headquarters, following its £5.6bn friendly bid for the former building society.
However, the bank will close about 100 of the combined 2,140 branches.
Barclays has promised that only two rural outlets will close with the rest in urban areas. It has promised not to shut banks in isolated communities.
