A Scottish castle has come on the market for a mere £30,000, but there is a catch.
The A-listed Brough Lodge, on the Shetland island of Fetlar, may be a bargain at less than a sixth of the cost of an average home in Scotland, but prospective bargain hunters have been warned that they will also have to commit to paying for the renovations the castle desperately needs.
The trust that currently owns Brough Lodge estimates that to be around £12m.
