An office block in Portsmouth city centre with planning consent to be converted into 54 flats is the lot with the highest guide price due to go under the hammer at Barnard Marcus’s second auction of the year on 9 March.
Hippodrome House, a 25,000 sq ft block which currently comprises a ground floor supermarket and vacant offices above, located on the site of Portsmouth’s Hippodrome Theatre, is to be offered to the market with a guide price of £2.45m.
The building will be one of 233 lots catalogued by Barnard Marcus in its March sale – a 17% increase on the same sale a year ago, when the auction house catalogued 199 lots.
The auction will take place at the Grand Connaught Rooms, Great Queen Street, WC2.
