Barnard Marcus raises £27m at its seventh post-Covid in-room auction

Barnard Marcus raised £26.7m at its April auction, with a success rate of 61%.

The sale, held on 13 April at the Grand Connaught Rooms, WC2, is the firm’s seventh in-room auction since it went back to the room last September. It has also held two online-only auctions in the same period, according to Essential Information Group.

Successes at its latest sale included a three-bedroom terraced house in Wimbledon, SW19 (lot 1), sold on behalf of Mountview Estates. It fetched £612,000.

In Chelsea, SW3, a share of a freehold corner retail unit on Royal Hospital Road (lot 21, pictured) sold for £765,000, reflecting a net yield of 7.44%.

In Cambridgeshire, a 31.4-acre plot of land at London Road, Norman Cross, Peterborough (lot 123), sold for £450,000.

Barnard Marcus listed around 250 lots and withdrew 27 prior. Its next sale is on 17 May.
