Barnett Ross tops 80% success rate
Barnett Ross managed an 82% success rate at its second auction of the year.
Held at The Langham on 16 May, the sale raised just over £8m.
Highlights from the sale included a freehold, mid-terraced building comprising a ground floor florist in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire. Producing £12,000 pa with separate rear access to a vacant four-bedroom, self-contained flat, the property sold for £556,000 off a reserve of £400,000.

A former cafe on Whitehorse Road in Croydon, Surrey, with a self-contained, one-bedroom flat let on an AST, proved popular – selling for £263,000, some £73,000 above its guide.
Lot 18, at 109 High Street in Barnet, Hertfordshire, was the most expensive lot of the auction. The charity shop, let to Willow, was offered at £700,000 and sold for £736,000 – a 6.5% yield.
