Barratt London and the Hyde Group joint venture Harrow View has secured reserved matters permission for 460 new homes as part of the Kodak factory redevelopment in Harrow.
The first phase of Harrow View East will see 460 homes built, 40% of which will be affordable, while a new energy centre will retain the iconic Kodak chimney.
The pair bought a chunk of the 30-acre former industrial complex in early 2017, with outline consent for new homes, work and community space. Future phases are expected to deliver more new homes, offices, retail and later living accommodation.
Construction is due to commence in summer 2018.
