Barratt Developments has appointed Neil Cooper as chief financial officer.
Cooper joins the developer from bookmaker William Hill.
His start date has yet to be confirmed, however he is expected to take a position on Barratt’s board as an executive director within the next few months.
He had been with William Hill as group finance director since 2010 and before that held the same role at Bovis Homes for four years.
A qualified management accountant, Cooper has also worked for Whitbread in various finance roles and was a consultant for PwC’s management consultancy arm.
Barratt’s designated chief executive, David Thomas, said: “Neil has a strong CFO track record as well as a good knowledge of the house building sector. He has been a key part of shaping the direction of Bovis Homes and William Hill and is an exceptional appointment for Barratt. I am confident that he will add real value to our business.”
