Barratt Homes has bought a plot in Brixton, SW9, for £8.5m.
The housebuilder paid housing group Places for People for the land at 368-372 Coldharbour Lane, where there is planning consent for 155 homes across seven floors.
The sale is part of Places for People’s plans to focus on other developments in the capital. The land was its last asset in Lambeth.
Sam Graham, partner in the commercial division at Cluttons, which advised the vendor, said: “Residential demand in south London remains buoyant, particularly in this vibrant part of town, and we believe Coldharbour Lane’s development potential will provide good returns for Barratt Homes.”
The seller said it will continue to work with Cluttons on its other London sites.
