Barratt in Guildford resi project

Barratt Homes and Thames Valley Housing Association have been appointed lead developer on a 120-home scheme in Guildford, Surrey.

The pair won the mandate after an OJEU tender process by the HCA.

The development, which will be on part of the former Milford hospital site, is set to comprise 104 new homes and 16 refurbished properties.

Barratt will seek detailed planning consent later this year for the scheme.

Ed James, director at Savills, which advised the HCA, said: “The delivery of 120 market and affordable homes is much needed in the local market and unlocks a site that has remained redundant for a number of years. There was considerable interest from both private developers and registered providers.”
