Places for People and Barratt Homes have formed a 50/50 joint venture to develop 2,000 homes in Milton Keynes.
The jv will develop the homes at Places for People’s 360-acre Brooklands scheme.
To date, 250 homes have been built on the land. Construction on the new phase will begin next month.
Paradigm Housing Group will purchase the completed affordable housing, which will consist of both rental and shared ownership?homes.
Places for People chief executive David Cowans said: “Our partnership with Barratt will enable us to build new homes and community facilities at a much faster pace.
Barratt Northampton managing director Andrew Swindell said: “This site continues our heritage in Milton Keynes, where we have built around 800 homes in the past five years. We will be on site as soon as possible.”
