Housebuilder Barratt Developments has achieved its highest recorded number of forward sales over the past 19 weeks.
The company has reported £2.6bn of sales over the period, which is a 17% increase on same period last year, when sales of £2.2bn were recorded.
There were also increases for completions, which are expected to hit 16,100 for the full year, compared with 14,838 last year.
It has also launched 64 new developments, which it said was down to strong market conditions throughout the period, with high levels of demand for new-build homes across the country.
Group chief executiveMark Clare said: “Our investment in circa £4.5bn of approved land for new housing since 2009 continues to deliver results. Completions for the financial year 2015 are expected to increase by around 9% and our forward order book, at more than £2.5bn, is the highest level ever achieved by the group.”
