Barratt Homes (Leeds) has won detailed consent for the £60m residential element of the mixed-use Brewery Wharf redevelopment at Butlers Wharf in Leeds.
The housebuilder’s plans include 305 riverside apartments in five blocks named Admiral Court, Regent Quay, St James Quay, Cromwell Court and Balmoral Place.
The buildings will be located on a two-acre (0.8ha) site on the south banks of the River Aire, the focus of Leeds’ largest-ever regeneration scheme.
The scheme comprises one to two-bedroom apartments and two to three-bedroom penthouses, with prices ranging from £110,000 to £450,000.
There will be 60% on-site secure parking.
Work has begun on site and a phased completion for the housing element of the scheme is due from summer 2003.
In addition to the housing, Brewery Wharf, a joint venture between Rushbond Group and Swan Hill, plans £100m of development comprising 500,000 sq ft (46,500 sq m) of offices, restaurants and bars, a Jurys Doyle hotel and shops.
