Barwood has closed its UK regional property growth fund with commitments of £100m.
The five-year fund will invest in commercial and residential assets across UK regional markets with target assets in the region of £3m-£25m.
The fund uses a value added strategy and aims to achieve returns through asset management, planning gain and development.
Joanna Greenslade will have overall responsibility for the fund, with Barwood founder Richard Bowen on the fund investment committee.
The fund was mostly raised from high-net-worth individuals and institutional investors including British Airways Pension Trustees. Barwood executives have also committed £3m.
A previous income fund from Barwood, raised in 2009, is being wound up and on track to deliver 12% returns. Another growth fund is delivering returns of 20% IRR.
