Barwood pushes Milton Keynes business park

Barwood Capital has submitted a planning application for Woodlands Business Park in Milton Keynes, which it acquired last year.

The 12.5-acre site will include 150,000 sq ft of office across four buildings of between 25,000 sq ft and 60,000 sq ft.

Demolition works have commenced at Oak House, a 37,000 sq ft office building which until 2011 was the headquarters of BSI.

Andrew Barlow, director at Barwood Capital said: “We have flexibility for a range of office floorplate sizes to meet occupier requirements up to 150,000 sq ft and address Milton Keynes’ lack of office supply.”

More broadly, Barwood is targeting well-located assets with lot sizes between £3m and £15m that have the potential for value to be added through active asset management, planning and development.

Lambert Smith Hampton and Bidwells are letting agents on the remaining vacant space at the site. Bidwells and Knight Frank are the letting agents on the new development.
